About Me

 

Vianca Camila Pérez is a bilingual actress from Bayamon, Puerto Rico. Spending much of her childhood and teen years collaborating in theater, she decided to seek acting training in the U.S. She graduated with a B.A. in Theater and Feminist, Gender, & Sexuality Studies from Wesleyan University. She is the recipient of the Carol B. Ohmann Award for excellence in her Senior Essay analyzing Performance through a lens of gender, sex, and power.

Her training includes Stella Adler Studio of Acting (NYC), Performing Arts Studio (Puerto Rico), and M&M Studios (Mexico City) among others. Vianca's work ranges from Film, and T.V., to classical, contemporary, and devised Theater in roles such as Bernalda Alba from Federico Garcia Lorca's La Casa de Bernarda Alba, King Basilio from Pedro Calderon de la Barca's Life is a Dream, Jocasta in Luis Alfaro's Oedipus: El Rey to Boggett in Jen Silverman's Phoebe in Winter and Liza in Action by Sam Shepard.

 

In New York City, she has been part of new theater work development with Miranda Haymon’s bb brecht at The Under the Radar Festival, SPACE on Ryder Farm in a new play by Isaac Gomez, The Skeleton Rep, and Imaginarium Co. Recently, she has performed at The Public Theater, The Tank, Mabou Mines-PS122, and  La Mama Experimental Theater Club, The Player's Theater.

Besides acting, you can find her decorating, dancing to Bad Bunny, or playing volleyball. On the weekends, venture to Soho Rep Theater and find her ushering with a warm smile. She is currently residing in Manhattan, NYC.
